Information Technology : Podcasts

In a nutshell, podcasting is creating content, audio or video, for an audience that wants to listen at the time, location and manner they choose to.  Though podcasts are generally audio files, e.g., MP3, created for digital music players, it can also be used to transmit images, text and video to any capable device. Similar to blogs, the podcast URL can also be inserted into an RSS document. Visit these Philippine podcasts:

  • OurMedia.org has podcasts about the hottest issues in the Philippines, e.g., TV, politics, sports, etc.

  • Cuying Podcast, belongs to Fr. Stephen Cuyos, a priest of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart. He opted to use today’s most effective tools in sharing personal reflections and in proclaiming God’s liberating message of joy, peace and love online. Topics include life, faith, Filipino migrants, and mediated communications, among others.
